Help Out Days in central Lake District

We all need nature to survive. UK nature is in trouble but we can help restore it by working together. Help Out Days are events where you can give some of your time to make a real difference to nature in the Lake District. Working with our rangers and gardeners, you'll be using your skills, developing new ones and meeting people.
If you've always wanted to volunteer but haven't had the time to devote to it, this could be for you. There's no commitment, other than turning up on the day you've chosen. It's a chance to unplug, show up and do something hands-on.
Do I need to book?
You'll need to book your free place on many of the events, but osome are drop-in.
What you'll need:
- For all day sessions please bring; drinks, snacks and a packed lunch
- Workgloves or gardening gloves (if you have your own, but we can provide gloves if you don’t).
- Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and being outside, sturdy footwear/boots, waterproofs. Long sleeves and trousers/leggings are recommended for some activities.
- Tools are provided
Take a look below to see the full programme of activities.
