Whether it’s for a couple of hours or the whole day, Formby’s nature haven is a popular choice for a school or group trip. To ensure a great day out for everyone, school and large group visits must be pre-booked.
The Victoria Road car park and toilets will be closed from May 2025 – Spring 2026. Please note there is no coach parking, drop off or stopping on the highway at either site. Thank you for being mindful of our neighbours.
How to book a group visit
We aim to make your visit to Formby a great experience, by working with you to meet your needs as best we can. Please note for safety reasons all school and group visits must be booked in advance, even if you are walking on site.
Unfortunately, as Formby is a natural space with limited parking and toilet facilities, groups without confirmation may be turned away. This is to help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit.
Groups are welcome to book a visit to Lifeboat Road car park mid-week, during normal opening times. We unfortunately can’t take bookings for minibus and coach access during busy times which includes local school holidays, weekends and bank holidays or when the car park is fully booked.
Simply fill out the form below and once completed send to the team by email formby@nationaltrust.org.uk. We'll get back to you as soon as we can to send you written confirmation if your requested dates are available, unfortunately we cannot provisionally hold dates.
Our booking form can be found here CLICK HERE.
We look forward to welcoming your group to Formby's special nature haven.
