Scarecrow Festival 2024
During autumn we are using the outdoor space here at Rufford to celebrate with a little bit of fun, and we would like to invite you to get involved.

The theme for 2024 is Scarecrows on the Box, giving everyone the opportunity to create their favourite TV and film characters.
How can I get involved? - Choose to work on your own or work together as a team. Decide what your scarecrow will be and confirm your entry by emailing ruffordoldhall@nationaltrust.org.uk There are limited places, so please sign up early.
Festival Dates? - The scarecrows need to be completed/assembled and delivered to Rufford Old Hall by the 14 October. They will be installed in the garden by 17 October.
The trail will run from 18 October through to 3 November. (Closed Wednesdays and Thursdays) What will Rufford Old Hall will provide? - We can provide stakes (free of charge) for propping up your scarecrow. Stakes are limited, so please let us know if you require these and we can let you know the dimensions.
If you have not requested stakes for your scarecrow, unfortunately there will not be any available during set up.
Collection? - The scarecrows will be taken down on 6 and 7 November. If you want to keep your scarecrow, they can be collected no later than 9 November. Any items left onsite will be disposed of.
