From Saturday 3 to Monday 5 May, step back in time and join us for a whole weekend of family fun as we celebrate May Day with the Tudors.

Visit Speke Hall this May Day weekend for a fun family-friendly day out. Enjoy archery, fighting displays, Tudor dancing and learn about Elizabethan life.
Get ready for the best in courtly entertainment as we're joined by James the Jester, who will have the whole family laughing along to his jolly japes and circus skills.
Join a merry band of roving archers to try out a historic sport! With a real English longbow and traditional wooden arrows, try your aim at a variety of fun targets. Costing £4 for 6 arrows.
You can also enjoy specific acts on certain days:
Saturday 3 - Let Plas Mawr Tudor Dancers transport you back through the centuries as they perform traditional English country dances.
Saturday 3 - Enjoy the lively spectacle of the Mersey Morris Men. With jingling bells, clashing sticks and vibrant traditional costumes, they'll bring centuries old English folk dance to life.
On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 - Mingle with royalty as King Henry VIII and his six wives join us in full period costume, courtesy of Regal Rose Historical Portrayal.
Saturday 3 and Monday 5 - Join Chelsea Gold Winners Louise and Deb as they help you make your own flower tiaras.
Normal admission charges apply, entry is free for National Trust members and under 5s. You do not need to pre-book.
All of the activities will take place outdoors. Please note there may be a long queue to enter the house at peak times.
