- Free event (admission applies)
Get into the festive spirit with a visit to Ham House, decorated in gold and gilded splendour. Take in twinkling candlelight and fairy lights, Christmas trees and aromatic greenery as you discover the stunning Stuart interiors. A spectacular sugar banquet, made by our volunteers, will also be on display.
Family-friendly activities inside the house, open 12-4 (last entry 3.30): Follow a spotter trail inspired by our resident cat Roscoe. Discover a festive reading nook in the Back Parlour, then head below stairs for more activities. Little ones can try dressing up and write a letter to the North Pole. Take home a memento of your visit with a free print from our CEWE photo station.
In the gardens, open 10-4 (last entry 3.30): You’ll find traditional Christmas games and wooden summerhouses decorated with lights in the maze-like Wilderness part of the garden.
Carol singing: Soak up the festive atmosphere with carol singing on selected weekends in the run up to Christmas on 14 and 22 December.
Have a festive feast at our Orangery Café (open 10-4 daily), serving light lunches, warming drinks and snacks.
Find a special gift for friends and family in our shop (open 10.30-3.30) - browse artisan gifts, sweet treats and more. Ask any team member to find out more about gifting a membership this Christmas, creating future memories throughout the year to remember forever.
