In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Week (May 12–18), join us for a Wellness Weekend at Morden Hall Park. On Sunday, step into the tranquil embrace of the forest for a rejuvenating forest bathing session for a practice that encourages deep relaxation, mindfulness, and a profound connection to nature.
Despite its name, forest bathing doesn’t involve water. Originating in Japan in the 1980s as "Shinrin-yoku," this practice was scientifically designed to reduce stress and promote overall well-being. By engaging all your senses, you’ll experience the calming effects of the woodland, helping to uplift your mood and restore balance.
Expect a gentle, guided walk led by experienced facilitator Nigel Grimes, incorporating mindfulness and breathing techniques into a two-hour immersive experience designed to calm the mind, reduce stress, and enhance well-being.
Takes this opportunity during National Walking Month to leave your worries behind and step into a woodland sanctuary cared for by the National Trust. Feel the restorative benefits of the forest as you engage in silent reflection, mindful movement, and deep breathing, letting the trees and fresh air soothe your body and mind.
