From late March until the end of October, the Windpump’s balcony is open to visitors on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays (weather permitting), when you can enjoy spectacular views over Horsey Mere and the surrounding Norfolk Broads landscape.

No. 1 Get to know a tree

Visit our small apple orchard and see how the apples are growing.

No. 33 Go cloud watching

Find a spot to lie down and look up to the sky and see what shapes, trails and colours you can see in the clouds. Can you make up a story about any of the shapes you can see?

No. 9 Eat a picnic in the wild

Why go home for lunch when you can eat in the wild? Pack a blanket and a picnic, or pop to our café to add to your supplies and enjoy tucking into your sandwiches surrounded by nature.

No. 12 have fun with sticks

Sticks are the best. There are so many ways you can have fun with sticks that we can’t begin to list them all here... For starters, you could make a wand, build a home for insects or create some arty patterns!
