Apple weekend

Apple family crafts - 11am - 3pm

Children can make an apple bird feeder to take home, using Oxburgh’s windfall apples. Located in a gazebo on the North Terrace. Free activity, no booking necessary. (Apple family crafts will also be running Sat 14 – Sun 15 September from 11am - 3pm)

Help Harvest the Orchard - 11am - 1pm

Supporters can help the gardeners harvest the Orchard. Help the team to pick and pack the apples with a chance to talk to the team about our heritage varieties and orchard management techniques.

Display of harvest equipment - The apple press will be on display in the kitchen garden, alongside some of the equipment the team use to manage the orchard such as scythes. Interpretation boards about the heritage varieties will be displayed around the orchard.

Garden tours - 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm, 30 - 45 minutes

Join a tour led by Ryan, Nat and our knowledgeable volunteer garden guides. Focussing on the Orchard and Kitchen Garden, tours will include the history of the productive gardens at Oxburgh and how the team care for them today; from winter pruning to disease control and heritage fruit varieties. Free tour, normal admission applies. Bookable on the day at Visitor Welcome. (Garden tours will also be running on Fri 13 – Sun 15 September)
