Ever wondered how to grow your own but don’t know where to start? Fancy giving vertical growing a go? Or maybe you want to combine ornamental and productive gardening but you’re not sure which plants work together? Come along to Oxburgh and find out! We’ll share our horticultural know-how and give you the knowledge you need to get growing your own in no time at all. Talks will take place in the heart of Oxburgh's productive gardens.
Vertical growing in a small space - Wednesday 5 June and 17 July.
If you’re short on space in your garden, why not grow upwards? Our gardeners will share how you can make the most of light and space by growing up! From which containers you can use, to ideal plants and, most importantly, how to help them flourish.
How to grow your own - Wednesday 19 June, 31 July and 28 August.
There’s nothing quite like growing your own food. Whatever space you have, whether it’s a window box or an allotment, we’ll talk you through what you need to consider when growing your own. You’ll be harvesting before you know it!
Designing an ornamental productive garden - Wednesday 3 July and 14 August.
Another fantastic space saving gardening method. If you don’t have room for a vegetable bed or don’t like the look of it, why not combine edible and ornamental? Our team will provide advice on picking the perfect plants and getting the design just right.

This event will take place outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day.
- Accessibility
The talks will take place in the Kitchen Garden and Orchard where the ground is flat and mostly gravelled. Wheelchairs are available to borrow from Visitor Welcome on arrival.
