Create your own wood engraving and prints at Cherryburn, birthplace of Thomas Bewick, acclaimed wood engraver, artist and naturalist. An idyllic setting to learn a new skill.
Four-day course: Saturday 13 September to Tuesday 16 September inclusive. 10.00am to 4.30pm (£420 per person) Cost of engraving blocks (approx. £30) is in addition.
Please note, numbers are limited to ensure maximum one to one tuition.

Four-day courses – suitable for all abilities: during the course there will be opportunities for sketching and exploring the countryside around Cherryburn, as well as tuition and practice. By the end of the course, you will have completed at least one wood engraving and have an edition of prints to take home. A light sandwich lunch is included plus local transport from where you are staying to and from Cherryburn, if needed. The cost does not include accommodation, which needs to be booked separately, but we can make recommendations if needed. We do recommend booking your accommodation ASAP as Northumberland is a popular tourist destination.
