To encourage travelling by sustainable transport, we're offering visitors who choose car-free travel to Gibside 10% discount in the café.

Did you know that 95% of National Trust visitors arrive by car? This means we have the potential to make a huge difference. By changing travel habits and mindsets around car-free travel, National Trust visitors can work towards achieving our climate action ambition. 

Planning your travel

We’re working with Good Journey to help plan your travel to Gibside with ease. Searching for bus timetables and walking routes can take time, but with the Good Journey Planner tool visitors can use their starting point to see the quickest and cheapest ways of getting to their destination.

Receiving your discount

When you arrive at Visitor Reception, present your train or bus ticket, cycle helmet or an app that shows your journey and steps, to receive a 10% voucher which can be redeemed in any of our 4 food and beverage outlets.
