Heritage Walk (by More Than A Run)
Join More Than A Run (MTAR) to enjoy a walk following the Park-to-Park Route as part of the Local History month, 'Middlesbrough Uncovered'.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Starting and finishing at Ormesby Hall, the route of the walk will pass through the Hall’s parklands to Stewart Park, touching parts of the original Marton and returning to Ormesby Hall ambling through fields and woods. We’ll point out features and facts of interest taking the opportunity to reminisce with your fellow walkers enjoying the locality and outdoors.
After the walk there will be opportunity to visit the mansion at Ormesby Hall and wander around the formal gardens. Not forgetting a visit to the Pennyman Tearooms! If you can, we’d appreciate a donation to the walk on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis (suggested donation £3), but please do not let this put you off coming if you are not in a position to do so.
The walk is approximately 3 miles long and expected to take 3 hours, including a short comfort break at Stewart Park. As is typical for this country, we ask that you wear suitable footwear and outdoor clothing.
Car parking in the main car park, off Ladgate Lane, TS3 0SR. Meeting at the Visitor Welcome Hut.
Booking is essential as spaces are limited - Please email info@morethanarun.co.uk to secure your place. For more information, visit https://www.morethanarun.co.uk/events
