Dawn chorus walk and bird ringing demo
Join the ranger team for an early morning walk to enjoy the dawn chorus and see some bird ringing in action.

A leisurely stroll taking in the wonderful sounds of the dawn chorus. Learn how to identify the sounds of local birds. Stay a while afterwards to watch the team bird ringing to gather valuable data on local species.
This event is free. Donations are very welcome and will go directly towards caring for Souter's coastal habitats and wildlife.

The basics
- Suitability
Children ages 5+ are welcome. Must be accompanied by an adult.
- Meeting point
Meet at Whitburn Coastal Conservation Centre, near the lighthouse car park.
- What to bring and wear
Warm clothing and sturdy footwear advised.
- Accessibility
The route is largely wheelchair accessible. Birdsong can be heard from most areas. The area near to the timber viewing screen in Whitburn Coastal Park is wheelchair friendly and great for birdsong too.
