Children's Cosy Christmas at Castle Coole

Visit Castle Coole this festive season for a cosy Christmas as you journey through the big house for some festive fun.

Stop for a photo op in the Grand Hall beside the beautiful tree, before moving into the Breakfast Room for Christmas stories by the fire. Head deep into the basement to write your letter to Santa and get creative with a Christmasy craft – don’t forget to post your letter in our special ‘express delivery’ post box.

Finally, head into the basement kitchen for festive baking where you will bake and decorate some treats to take home. Don’t forget to collect your Castle Coole Christmas token for a hot chocolate in the tearoom before you leave!

  • Sunday 15 December

These events are 2 hour sessions, choose from 10am-12 noon or 12 noon to 2pm.

*On Sunday 15 December the sessions will run from 12 noon to 2pm and 2pm-4pm. 

Tickets are limited to 12 children maximum per session.

Make a Gift Workshop Series 

Join us this Christmas for a new offer at Castle Coole as we invite some of the best local artists and crafters to host a series of ‘Make a Gift’ workshops in the magnificent surroundings of the Grand Yard. Learn from the best and create a stunning personalised piece to gift someone special this festive season. Get into the festive spirit with some seasonal treats and choose from fussed glass decorating, ceramic painting, fabric painting and willow weaving. These wonderful workshops are the perfect way to spend an evening this Christmas.
 

A Festive Bonanza at Castle Coole

Join us for a Festive lunchtime recital hosted by Jonathan Beatty, featuring all your favourite Christmas classics!

This magical afternoon brings together Fermanagh performers from this year’s recital series at Castle Coole, alongside exciting new talent, to create an unforgettable afternoon of music.

How does a festive film by the fire sound?

Hosted by Jonathan Beatty in collaboration with Fermanagh Film Club, this special event will take place in the beautiful fire-lit Breakfast Room at Castle Coole.

Enjoy a cosy night with popcorn, Prosecco, and other festive treats as we screen The Holiday, guaranteed to get you into the festive spirit!

SOLD OUT: Festive Twilight Tour

Join the family and servants of Castle Coole, as the 4th Earl of Belmore has arrived home to spend Christmas at Castle Coole for the first time. The servants are busy preparing the house for the festivities and extra unexpected guests, while the 4th Earl ponders why they’re bringing a tree indoors, aren’t they best suited outside?!

This beautiful festive experience is led by our award winning volunteers, definitely one not to be missed!

Visitors will receive a glass of prosecco (or a soft drink) on arrival, followed by an extra special festive themed house tour, finishing with wine and cheese in the basement kitchen.
