Experience the history beneath your feet

The Queen Anne house with canal and formal gardens

Learn more about Castle Coole and the history hidden beneath your feet on a guided walk every week with our Queen Anne Site tour.

The estate in 1707 would have been very different to the one you see today with major developments being made by the owner, Col. James Corry, who inheirited the land from his father. The Queen Anne House was built and large additions made to the estate including a large walled deer park which has now mostly been lost.

This is a free event and is weather dependant. Visit the reception on arrival at Castle Coole to book onto the tour which takes approximately 45 minutes. The walk takes place on road and some forest path and is wheelchair accessible.

Please visit the What's On section or our Facebook page for details and timings on the next upcoming walk!
