Accessibility at Crom

We are working hard behind the scenes to ensure that every visit to Crom is a positive and memorable one. Everyone needs nature and we are doing our bit to ensure that there are no barriers to accessing this special place.

Powered mobility scooters and wheelchair

Crom has two powered mobility scooters and a wheelchair available for visitors to use, free of charge. These can be reserved in advance of your visit by calling us on 028 6773 8118.

Accessible parking

There is designated blue badge parking in the holiday cottage courtyard and at the riding school. 

Accessible toilets

There is an accessible toilet located in the Visitor Centre, in the campers block, and at the riding school. Visitor Centre toilets are not open in winter. 

Visitor Centre

There is level access into the Visitor Centre for wheelchairs. There is also an induction loop available.

Tearoom

There is step-free access to the tearoom via the Visitor Centre. The tearoom is cash only. 

Calm bags

There are calm bags available for hire at the Visitor Centre. They can be used for two hours per visit and include fidget toys, ear defenders and other sensory items to help visitors have a calm and enjoyable experience.

Accessible paths

There is an accessible path from the Visitor Centre to the old castle ruins. It is 0.7km/0.4 miles long.
