Accessibility at Florence Court

We are working hard behind the scenes to ensure that every visit to Florence Court is a positive and memorable one. Everyone needs nature and we are doing our bit to ensure that there are no barriers to accessing this special place.

Mobility scooter and wheelchair

Florence Court has a mobility scooter and wheelchair available for visitors to use, free of charge. These can be reserved in advance of your visit by calling us on 028 6634 8249 or requested on arrival at the Visitor Centre.  

Accessible parking

There is designated blue badge parking in the main car park, plus two spaces opposite the bookshop, beside the mansion.

House access

There is a ramp at the front of the mansion that provides wheelchair access for house tours. The tour involves stairs, but there is a video available in the tearoom showing the upstairs and basement levels of the mansion.

There is seating available in rooms in the mansion for anyone who cannot stand for long periods. Please ask your tour guide about what seating you can use.

Accessible toilets

There is an accessible toilet located in the Visitor Centre, an another beside the tearoom.  

Buggy for house tour transfers

There is a buggy onsite that can be used to bring visitors from the Visitor Centre to the mansion for tours. Please ask on arrival if required.

Visitor Centre

There is level access into the Visitor Centrefor wheelchairs. There is also an induction loop available.

Tearoom

There is step-free access to the tearoom.

Calm bags

There are calm bags available for hire at the Visitor Centre. They can be used for two hours per visit and include fidget toys, ear defenders and other sensory items to help visitors have a calm and enjoyable experience.

Accessible paths

There are a couple of accessible paths around the estate including the blue trail as well as the paths around the gardens.

Visiting Florence Court with your dog 

Florence Court is a two pawprint rated place. Dogs are welcome at Florence Court. Stride out through acres of parkland and historic woodland. Your dog will find plenty of opportunities for bounding, jumping, sniffing and splashing through the estate.

Eating at Florence Court 

Enjoy seasonal dishes made with local produce in the Stables Tea-room. The second-hand bookshop is stocked with a wide range of pre-loved books to take home.
