Wellbrook Beetling Mill

The mill has a 16 foot wheel which is powered by the river. A lone reminder of the flourishing linen industry.

Situated in a peaceful, wooded glen along the Ballinderry River.

A traditional cottage that looks as if nothing could disturb the tranquillity, until you hear the beetling.

The beech wood cogs of the mill were powered by the river to make the hammers tumble down and create the motion.
