Around the castle and grounds, volunteers play a vital role of preserving the history for visitors, bringing energy to this special place while telling fascinating stories of medieval life. Come and join our passionate team of volunteers, there is bound to be a role just right for you.
Tattershall Castle is looking for volunteers with a wide range of experience and skills or who wants to learn new ones, and there is a role for everyone who wants to get involved. You will be helping to maintain Tattershall for the future and make every visit special.
These are just some of the roles you can do as a volunteer at Tattershall Castle:
Grounds volunteers do practical work outside to keep the site looking great and functioning for visitors. If gardening is a passion or you are looking to get your hands dirty in the great outdoors, becoming a grounds volunteer could be perfect for you.
Have a good knowledge of literature? Volunteers in the second-hand bookshop help visitors find the best books in each section of the shop. They keep it stocked and ready for visitors to find their next favourite book.
If you enjoy interacting with our visitors you will enjoy this role. It will involve being located in the Castle Audience Chamber and sharing your knowledge of the castle through informal conversations
There are lots of reasons to join us; making the move to volunteer could be the best decision you ever make.
