Our book art is a popular item to buy at Claydon House, but why not learn how to make your own? Led by our talented volunteer Liz, come and spend an evening learning how to create decorations by simply folding pages. With a limit of ten people per session, after hours in our beautiful second-hand bookshop, this is an experience you don't want to miss! Second-hand books are provided.

Book Art Making

Come along on Saturdays and Mondays throughout the summer holidays to colour in your very own suncatcher, shaped like a ladybird or a dragonfly. Suncatchers and pens provided, £1 per suncatcher. The sessions are paid for on the day in Visitor Welcome.

Hop on down to Claydon this autumn to pick up your free worksheet and find ten animal footprints painted around the garden! Once you've found the footprint, fill in name of the animal and learn some fun facts.

All entry fees will be waived for these two special Heritage Open Days! 
The site will be open from 10.30, with house tours at 10.30 and 11.00am (volunteer dependent). The house opens for free flow at 11.30 and the last entry is 14.45, with the house closing at 15.30 and the grounds at 16.30. In that time you can explore the history of the Verney family, visit our beautiful South Lawn or head over to the Claydon Estate for a bite to eat or some shopping. 
Make the most of the start of autumn by taking in the gorgeous views across the parkland and breathing in some fresh air!

Enjoy free entry for all to Claydon on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of September.
