Discover wild garlic at Hardwick from Lady Spencer’s Wood to the new Dovedale Farm development and then down into the SSSI Dovedale Wood.
There really is no better way to explore areas not typically open to visitors alongside getting an insight the seasonal flora and fauna that can be found at Hardwick.
Walk difficulty:
Gentle paced walk
3 – 3.5km with stopping places for discussion along the way.
Moderate difficulty, includes a hill, some rough terrain.

Please meet at Visitor Reception, there will be the chance to use the facilities at the Stableyard before the walk commences.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear sturdy outdoor shoes and outdoor clothing in line with the weather. Bring appropriate snacks and water if needed.
- Accessibility
There are accessible toilets and parking located in the Stableyard, please note that this walk is along uneven terrain and is not wheelchair accessible.
