Both the tea-room and café at Biddulph Grange Garden serve a range of hot and cold drinks, seasonal meals and sweet treats. Whether you’re popping by for a takeaway coffee or staying for lunch you’ll find something that hits the spot. From gifts and seasonal treats to plants and gardening accessories, the gift shop and plant sales at Biddulph Grange Garden will have you covered. 

Bateman's Café at Biddulph Grange Garden

The full menu, from soups and sandwiches to jacket potatoes and cakes, reflects the seasons. Be on the lookout for recipes that have been inspired by the places in the garden. Enjoy your meal in this historic room, a former billiard room, or sit outside and linger on the sun-drenched terrace. 

The Camellia tea-room 

The recently restored Camellia House has been turned into a tea-room with a view. Enjoy coffee and conversation in this newly opened eatery serving sandwiches, cakes, ice creams and hot and cold drinks.

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

Shopping at Biddulph Grange Garden

Whether you're looking for a gift, souvenir or even a treat for yourself, you'll find something lovely in the shop at Biddulph Grange Garden. With constant new stock flying onto the shelves and exciting offers to take advantage of, the shop is the perfect place for a browse.

Look out for the range of locally sourced items including beer, gin and mugs made in Stoke-on-Trent's famous potteries. 

Plant sales at Biddulph Grange Garden 

Abundant and unusual planting has always been at the heart of the garden at Biddulph Grange. All year round you will find the plant centre stocked with a wide variety of perennials, shrubs and seasonal plants alongside pots and garden accessories inspired by the beautiful garden. Stop by for a look – plant sales are conveniently located next to the car park.

All plants are selected by the friendly and knowledgeable plant centre team. They can help with gardening questions and advise on the right product for your garden. All plants are sold in peat-free compost and there's a supply for you to purchase too. 

The second-hand bookshop at Biddulph  

The second-hand book shop,in the former 1840s writing room of James Bateman, stocks titles that appeal to a vast range of interests, from fiction and crime to gardening and natural history. Many visitors have been delighted to find a book for which they have been searching for several years.  Donations of books are always gratefully received, and these can be left at visitor reception during normal opening hours.
