A Midsummer Night's Dream - Outdoor Theatre
Watch a fast-paced, charmingly chaotic interpretation of the classic Shakespeare comedy by the intrepid Handlebards who carry their costumes, props and entire set on their bikes!
- Booking essential
Be enchanted by The Handlebards as they perform their take on A Midsummer Night's Dream. It is fast, funny and fearless. If you’ve never seen Shakespeare before, there’s no better introduction.
Join the HandleBards at Dudmaston Hall for a hilarious, high-octane production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Four young lovers find themselves lost in a magical forest, where the Fairy King and Queen are fighting for the possession of a changeling boy. A group of amateur actors head to the same forest to rehearse for a play. Humans and fairies collide and hilarity ensues.
“Gloriously eccentric and very, very funny” ★★★★ The Stage
This is an outdoor production, so please bring your own chair or blanket to sit on, a picnic to dig into, and dress for the weather! The performance is 2hrs with a 20min interval, and will be theatre in the round (360 view).
Handlebards the cycling performers ( they won the Edinburgh Fringe Sustainable Practice Award in 2014 and were nominated 2015, 2016).
