Longville Coppice Walk

This circular walk from Wilderhope Manor, a grade 1 listed Elizabethan manor house, takes in surrounding farmland and Longville Coppice.

Start point

Wilderhope Manor car park, TF13 6EG

Step 1

Follow the named red waymarker discs. Facing away from the manor house, go through the wooden kissing-gate at the back of the car park into a field, before walking up the slope towards Wenlock Edge.

Step 2

When you reach the woods, turn right through a hedge line and follow along the Edge until you see a stile on the left which will take you down into Longville Coppice.

Step 3

At the bottom of the slope bear right and follow the track.

Step 4

At the junction take the track on the right up the steep slope and turn right onto a minor road called Pilgrims Lane.

Step 5

Follow the road for 300m and turn right onto a track which was the original main drive to Wilderhope Manor.

Step 6

At the crossroads turn right and follow the path around the rear of Wilderhope Manor and back to the car park.
