Become part of our close-knit community of volunteers and help bring Coleridge Cottage to life. Whether it’s sharing the stories of the cottage, caring for the collection or serving visitors in the tearoom, our visitors appreciate the personal touch that volunteers bring to their visit to us.  

We are currently recruiting for house experience and tearoom volunteers.

Volunteer Recruitment Day

Coleridge's intelligence, curiosity, and charismatic nature made it easy for him to form friendships, and he loved sharing his ideas with others. During his time in Nether Stowey, he often invited friends like William and Dorothy Wordsworth, John Thelwell, and Tom Poole over, and what better way to bring everyone together in this warmer weather than with a delightful tea party?

Explore the charming cottage and garden, and help organise the tea party from preparing the cake and writing invitations to picking party games, and planning your outfit, all while meeting Coleridge's friends along the way.

Once you’ve completed the trail, make sure to claim your chocolate egg prize. Don’t forget to continue your tea party in the tearoom afterwards.

Join us for an adventure in nature this Easter. Complete our family-friendly trail and claim your chocolate egg.
