“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.”
At least one of the Bennet sisters must marry well in order for the family to avoid destitution upon the death of Mr Bennet and so the task of finding suitable matches begins. But, as is always the case, matrimony is easier for some than for others. For Elizabeth Bennet in particular, not all judgements quickly made are correct, in particular when the dashing Mr Darcy is involved…
This Summer, critically acclaimed theatre company This Is My Theatre brings Jane Austen’s classic tale to life in a stunning one-act adaptation to celebrate the author’s 250th anniversary year.
Packed with rivalries, regrets and, of course, plenty of romance, our production is sure to spread joy this summer!
Critics have said of the show:
“An earnest production that showcases the talent of its small cast in a delightful setting!” - Sussex Local Magazine “Delightful in every way... An enchanting performance!” - Grapevine Live “Rich in detail and a joy to experience!” - Ingenue Magazine
Put on by returning theatre group This Is My Theatre who performed fantastic shows for us at Fyne last year.
