Find out where to stop for refreshments during your visit to the Lytes Cary Manor estate. Once you've refuelled, head to the second-hand book barn, where you'll find a huge selection of pre-loved reads.

The tea-room

The tea-room is located in the Old School Room and Courtyard, which makes this a unique place to refresh and refuel. There’s room for four-legged friends, too, in the sheltered courtyard area.

What's on the menu?

There's a range of light lunches and snacks on offer. For a special treat, why not try the hot chocolate topped with frothy cream and marshmallows? You could even indulge in a sweet slice of cake – there’s always a good selection to choose from.

Allergen information

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

If you have an allergy or intolerance and would like ingredient information about the food and drink served, please ask the staff, who will be happy to help.

Always check when you visit

Visited before? We sometimes change our recipes to improve quality and flavour, including the ingredients. When you visit, please speak to one of our team to check the current allergen information for your favourite dish.

Thank you

Every cuppa or tasty treat you buy helps us to continue looking after places for everyone to enjoy.

The second-hand book barn

During your visit, have a browse in the second-hand book barn. There are hundreds of treasures waiting to be found, from fiction to cookery books and timeless gardening advice.

All the proceeds from book sales go directly back into conservation work at Lytes Cary Manor.

Book donations

The second-hand book barn runs entirely on donations. We are currently accepting books, but we do ask that donations are nearly new or in reasonably good condition.

If you have any questions about donating books, please email lytescarymanor@nationaltrust.org.uk.

Thank you

It is through your purchases and support that we are able to continue to care for nature, beauty and history for everyone, for ever.
