Box Hill Guided Hike

10km guided walk , taking in all the special parts of Box Hill. Enjoy the unique trail and explore lesser visited parts of the hill with our knowledgeable tour guide

This moderate to strenuous circular route will take around 3 1/2 hours including a 30 minute break half way round. Starting from the famous Box Hill, an area of outstanding natural beauty, you’ll see stunning views and your guide will point out key highlights that make this area special.

The route involves three climbs and two descents. A couple of these have steps and are significantly steep. There will be approximately 330m of ascending & descending; we are on a hill after all! The hike will go ahead in all weathers and some areas could be muddy. Walking poles may be useful.

Please bring water and lunch or a snack and note there are no facilities once we leave the visitor centre. This is an interactive experience we welcome questions and sharing experiences. Your guide will tailor the pace, breaks and content based on the needs of the group.

What to bring and wear

This is an outside so will need weather appropriate clothing, walking boots and walking sticks are recommended. We will stop halfway so please bring a packed lunch.

Accessibility

Not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The walk will include climbing up the hill twice, including countryside steps
