'Last Night For Ever' touring sculpture by Andrea Gregson
This season, Leith Hill Place will host 'Last Night for Ever, a captivating sculpture by Andrea Gregson, that will then be touring National Trust properties in the South East. The installation will feature an artist's workshops during its stay.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Whilst the outside of the sculpture remains the same, the inside will reflect aspects of each different place. At Leith Hill Place the work is responding to the theme of 'refuge' - what lies underground the house, inside the earth and surrounding areas. Referencing Charles Darwin’s wormstone in the grounds, and the shelter that underground burrows offer both animals and humans, visitors can peek inside the sculpture to see model diorama, adjusting roof panels to reveal different perspectives into the miniature world.
Funded by University for the Creative Arts Research Funding and the National Trust, the installation will tour Nymans NT and Winkworth Arboretum later in 2025/26
