World Book Day weekend
Celebrate World Book Day at Dapdune Wharf with a weekend of storytelling and workshops on bookbinding and illustration for all ages.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Come fancy dressed as your favourite book character when we celebrate World Book Day Weekend at Dapdune Wharf in collaboration with the World Book Day Charity. Join professional local illustrator, Hayley Kay Adams, from 11am-2pm to learn a variety of bookbinding skills and make your very own book which, with her guidance, you can then fill with illustrations, writing or doodles. You can find Hayley on Instagram @hayley.kay_ or at www.hayleykayadams.com. We will also have storytelling and a Bookshed full of books to choose from, even for the grown-ups! This is a free event with donations welcomed, no booking necessary. If you'd like to donate children's books ahead of World Book Day Weekend, email riverwey@nationaltrust.org.uk and we'd love to help them find a new home.
