It’s the perfect destination for a trip that takes in historical woodland, beautiful plants and fantastic scenery. We offer a 5% discount for groups of more than 15 people, and advance booking is essential. To make sure you can enjoy all Winkworth has to offer, we recommend you allow up to an hour and a half for your visit. To book a visit, please email us for a booking form.

Discover the history of tree species at the arboretum as you are led though the woodland, meadows and wetland. After your walk, why not stop off for a reviving hot or cold drink and a slice of homemade cake in our tea-room? There’s also a tempting selection of hot and cold snacks and lunches. Owing to limited space, tables cannot be booked. There is additional seating outside. Large groups may like to stagger their visit to the tea-room.
To get the most out of your visit, why not take a guided tour with one of our knowledgeable experts? Tours are available for groups of 10 or more, and cost an additional £5 per person, minimum £50. Please note our guided walks are not recommended for those with access requirements and are subject to availability with a volunteer guide.
There is ample, free, parking for coaches during most periods except during Autumn Colour. Please indicate on the booking form if you’d like us to reserve a space for your coach to park.

Registered tourist board guides (on production of a valid badge), coach drivers and tour leaders escorting groups of 15 or more. National Trust members also receive free entry, so it is at your discretion whether to refund the entrance fee to members if you have included it in your package – this is not refunded by the National Trust.
