Stepping into Spring
Join us for our first guided walk of the season where we welcome the start of Spring. This is a circular walk on Belle Tout enjoying the fauna and flora found there.
- Booking essential
Starting from Birling Gap we walk to Shooters Bottom, going through the Meadow and Horseshoe Plantation on the way. Celebrating the start of Spring we will be looking at the fauna and flora. We then head up to Belle Tout lighthouse, over to Lookout Hill before heading back to Birling Gap. For those that prefer a gentler walk there is a turnaround point at Shooters Bottom.

Meet outside the Birling Gap Café where our friendly guides will greet you. Please have your booking confirmation ready to show.
- What to bring and wear
The weather can be extreme on Belle Tout so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Ensure you bring water and sunscreen. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.
- Accessibility
There is uneven and hilly terrain throughout the walk. A gentler walk is an option from Birling Gap to Shooters Bottom through the meadow and back for those who prefer flat levels.
- Other
The walk starts at Birling Gap. Consider car sharing. The coastal bus 13X runs on a Sunday with stops directly outside Birling Gap.
