Make the most of this nationwide celebration of heritage with free entry for two days in September. If you’ve never visited before, this is the ideal time to plan a day trip to Bodiam Castle and find out why it is one of the most visited attractions in the South East.

During your visit on Thursday 12 September enjoy one-off events, specially for Heritage Open Days:

Chat to the Bodiam Castle conservation team as they clean objects from the new 2024 archaeology dig. 11am-4pm in the Conservation Suite. Join a Conservation of Bodiam Castle talk in the castle courtyard. 2pm, lasting 45 minutes.

The towers are accessible by steep staircases. Not wheelchair accessible. Other parts of the site are accessible (see access statement on our website).
