Step through the wardrobe into Narnia at Nymans this Christmas. See the house decorated as the Professor's home, go through the wardrobe into the world of Narnia and peek into the Beaver's burrow and Mr Tumnus' cave. Upstairs see the witch's castle, while out in the garden get together with friends and family and have a go at The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe family trail designed by TIN SHED scenery. From Saturday 23 Nov 2024 until Sunday 5 Jan 2025: 10am – 4pm. Last entry to the house is at 3pm.

Christmas at Nymans: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Step through the wardrobe into Narnia at Nymans this Christmas. Inspired by C.S. Lewis’ classic tale, ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’, explore enchanting scenes on a magical, festive journey through the decorated house. A trail in the garden takes families on a voyage to Narnia, from the White Witch’s kingdom to the Beavers’ cottage.

Follow the interactive trail in the garden with life-size wardrobes framing classic scenes and Narnia inspired activities to take part in. Discover the Beaver’s cottage, find Father Christmas’s sleigh and sit on the throne at Cair Paravel. Free trail.

A house decorated for Christmas

Sat 23 Nov 2024 - Sun 5 Jan 2025: 11am – 3.30pm

In the house be greeted with the warmth and sparkle of a 1940s Christmas with trees, traditional toys and paper decorations. Follow in the footsteps of wartime evacuees, Edmund, Lucy, Susan and Peter, passing through that famous wardrobe and into the kingdom of the White Witch, a landscape of frost, snow and Turkish Delight.

Last entry to the house is at 3pm.

Christmas making activities at Nymans

Needle felting workshops - snowman or penguin

Mon 9, Tues 10 & Weds 11 Dec: 10am - 1.30pm

Join Nikki Scally of 'Felt at Home' for this half day needle felting workshop in the Potting Shed. Everything you need to create your own unique needle felted snowman or penguin will be provided. A relaxed atmosphere awaits in the Potting shed with a cosy and warm log burner. Admission to Nymans is included as well as tea, coffee and biscuits.

Booking is essential. Tickets £50.

Christmas food and drink

Feast on crumble topped mince pies or festive spiced muffins. Celebrate Christmas in the welcome café with a traditional Christmas lunch and a slice of iced fruit cake. There’s no need to book ahead for a Christmas lunch. (Last orders at 2pm). Plenty of festive treats are on offer to keep hunger at bay too and our range of comforting drinks with a festive feel are perfect for the season. In the Riding House café enjoy refreshments both inside and out in the courtyard around the Christmas tree. (Last orders for food and drink 3.45pm)

Find artisanal gifts, delicious nibbles, unique homeware and a range of beautiful books and toys in our large shop. Get inspiration for presents with gift ideas that you won’t find anywhere else. Profits from the shop go straight back into looking after Nymans.
