This workshop is beginner friendly, in a small and friendly group, during the day you'll learn the processes of the Cyanotype method with guided demonstration and hands on tuition from Sussex based artist Julia White and guest artist Cressida Murray.

Cyanotype is an ancient photographic printing process, and is characterized by a distinctive blue colour. The process includes treating a surface, often paper or fabric, with a salt solution which when reacts to UV light (sunlight) to create the negative image.

You should expect to experiment and come away with a series of prints, as well as the confidence and tools to carry on creating Cyanotypes at home.

All materials are included. Please refrain from bringing natural materials and foliage to the workshop, we have restrictions in place.
