Guided Bat Walks at Chirk Castle

Our bat walks are back! Come and meet Chirk Castle's bat population on this guided walk led by our Ranger Team who will talk all about the bats' habitat, food and the conservation challenges we face.

  • Booking essential

Our Ranger Team will meet you in the car park and guide you to the best spot to watch the bats as they emerge for the night. Then using bat detectors they'll lead a walk through the gardens, picking up all of the best spots and passing on their expert local knowledge. Species you may encounter include the lesser horseshoe, pipistrelle, noctule and brown long eared bats.
