Henrhyd Falls is accessible via a well-maintained footpath from the National Trust car park near Coelbren. The route to the falls is approximately 1.5 km (1 mile) round trip, with some steep sections and steps along the way. The path can be muddy and slippery, especially after rain, so sturdy footwear is recommended. While the main route is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs due to uneven terrain, there are viewing points along the trail for those who prefer a shorter walk. For safety, please stay on the designated paths, as the rocks around the falls can be slippery.

The footpaths criss-crossing Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons mountain range are subject to erosion and they are maintained by a team of National Trust rangers and volunteers using traditional techniques.

There are several opportunities to volunteer in the Bannau Brycheiniog. You can meet and greet visitors at Pont ar Daf car park or you can join the Lengths team and help the rangers repair upland footpaths.
