Walks from Porth y Swnt

Set off on the coastal footpath to the charming fishing cove of Porth Meudwy, where you might catch a glimpse of the rare red-legged chough. Or lace up your boots for a walk around Aberdaron’s stunning coastline, with its sweeping dunes, rugged cliffs, and golden beaches. Explore hidden sea caves, tidal rock pools, and secluded coves along the scenic coastal path—a haven for adventurers.

For sea views and varied routes, drop into the Porth y Swnt visitor centre for details, then follow the cycle routes around the coast to explore the area around this seaside village.

Sauna experience

Enjoy a sauna by the sea experience on Aberdaron beach. This traditional wood-fired Finnish sauna offers the chance to enjoy golden sunsets, crisp mornings, clear blue skies, or dramatic storms, all while soaking in the restorative warmth of the sauna. Kayaking in Aberdaron

Each summer, Porth y Swnt offers opportunities to try kayaking along this stunning coastline. Using stable sit-on-top kayaks, these sessions adapt to the group and sea conditions, offering something for everyone. Calmer days allow for scenic paddling with a chance to learn about the area’s rich history, wildlife, and dramatic landscape. On days with livelier waves, participants can experience the thrill of kayak surfing. Often, conditions allow for a mix of both.
