October 2024 half-term events
Make this half term the best one yet. See what minibeasts you can find on the Halloween Bug Hunt at The Argory in County Armagh, or pull on your wellies for Gardener Jim's Pumpkin Trail at Shugborough Estate in Staffordshire. You could even perfect your magical skills at Petworth Academy for Witches and Wizards in West Sussex, or perhaps settle down for some spooky stories and spine-tingling tales at Powis Castle in Powys.
Alongside these events, there'll be plenty more to explore at the places we look after, including family-friendly walks, craft sessions and exhibitions showcasing unique treasures and art. You could also celebrate the autumn harvest with apple tasting or have a go at volunteering with a bulb planting session.
