Join in a sustainable art activity in the Botanic Garden Bothy this October half term. On Friday 25 October and Friday 1 November SILT, (Sustainable Image Lab, Trowbridge) will be leading workshops on natural dye making and anthotypes. No need to book, suitable for all the family and included in the cost of general admission.
Friday 25 October - Natural Dye Workshop • Make flags dyed with natural materials and use lemon and soda ash to create designs. Learn about the stages of the dying process and the reactions of different plants.
Friday 1 November - Anthotype workshop • Make light sensitive emulsions from plant materials to use for prints, learn more about the process and take home some information on how to create your own prints at home.
