To encourage visitors to arrive at Lacock by sustainable transport, and in support of the Government's bus fare cap, we're offering a free regular hot drink with a valid bus ticket.

Visit Lacock for the historic abbey, home to photography and the invention of the negative. Discover the medieval cloister and 800 years of history, and enjoy a walk around the gardens and parkland in their seasonal colours. Stop for a snack in the Courtyard Café and admire the Tudor architecture of the historic courtyard, and take a stroll around the village for independent shopping and dining. You can find out more about Lacock's photographic roots in the Fox Talbot Museum.

The Government's bus fare cap runs until December 2024 which means you can get a single journey for £2. In support of this we're working with Good Journey to promote car-free travel to Lacock. Show your bus ticket at the Stables Café for a free hot drink.

To travel to Lacock via bus, catch the Faresaver X34 bus (Chippenham to Frome, via Melksham). The bus stop is at the end of the High Street, with a short walk of less than 5 minutes to Visitor Reception for Abbey entry.

For the full list of bus routes included in the bus fare cap please visit the GOV website here.
