Anthotype making - Ghost Trees photographic print workshop

Join us for a photographic printing workshop led by photographer Paul Ligas, whose work features in Croft Castle's Ghost Trees art walk and exhibition.
Learn about the history of anthotypes and discover how sunlight and plants can create mesmerising photographic prints. During this workshop, you'll learn how to create your own anthotypes using simple things found in your own kitchen, along with leaves or flowers from the Croft Castle landscape. All materials needed to create and take home one anthotype print will be provided. This event will also include a short walk through the front meadow to forage natural materials.
If you'd like to make more than one print, please bring in an additional A4 clip frame or A5 glass picture frame. You are also welcome to bring in additional flat objects such as feathers, high contrast transparencies, leaves, etc. We recommend wearing old clothing or bringing an apron to protect your clothing.

This workshop will take place in the walled garden, with a short walk out into the front meadow. The walled garden is only accessible via an uneven, cobbled stone path. This event also features a walk through the front meadow, which is uneven, and can be muddy following adverse weather It may be suitable for some all-terrain mobility scooters, however it is not suitable for manual wheelchairs.
