Do you have an interest in history and heritage or simply enjoy sharing stories with people? If you find you’ve got some time and volunteering for the National Trust tempts you, come along to one of the informal recruitment sessions at Treasurer’s House to find out more. 

Drop-in to meet the team and ask any questions you might have to see what opportunity suits you best. 

The team at Treasurer’s are looking to expand their current team of dedicated tour guides and tour support assistants for the new season ahead. If you’re passionate about sharing York’s history with visitors then this is the role for you. 
Our tour guides bring enthusiasm, passion and where possible a touch of humour as they help bring the long and varied history of Treasurer’s House to life. 

If leading a tour feels a little daunting, then we’re also looking for volunteer tour support. In this role, you’ll help support the tour guide by helping to keep your tour group together, answering independent questions from visitors and supporting your guide to keep to time. You’ll also help to ensure everyone is kept safe by keeping an eye out for any hazards or changes that might occur during the day.
