Hansel and Gretel argue about everything: who's the loudest, the fastest, and how they ended up lost in the forest one day?! But with only a trail of breadcrumbs to guide them home, they'll have to put aside their differences to make it home in time for tea!

This new family show full of music, magic and puppetry from Wrongsemble celebrates how the simplest story can become the wildest fairytale in the hands of the right storyteller!

Wrongsemble is a Leeds-based theatre company specialising in working with and creating work for young people, schools and families. They believe in art for everyone, with accessibility and 'shared experience' at the heart of all they do.

Breadcrumbs will be performed in the grounds of Stainborough Castle, which is our summer storytelling space.

There are two performances on the day: 12pm and 2pm. Each performance lasts approximately 50 minutes. Why not make a day of it and enjoy other family activities on site before or after the performance?

Please be aware that Stainborough Castle is at the top of the site, about 1km from the Visitor car park. We recommend you leave plenty of time to reach the Castle before the performance starts (and stop in the play area on the way!) The buggy shuttle service will also be available for families who need support.

To book, please click 'Check availability' on the right hand side of the page.
