Join us for a fun and interactive book reading with Helen Hunt, local author and illustrator of 'The Steelosaurus'.
Why not come along and listen to Helen read her book and afterwards colour in some of her beautiful illustrations?
The book readings will take place at 11am & 1pm in the Reading Room, where you can also browse our selection of children's second-hand books. Throughout the day, discover a short trail inspired by 'The Steelosaurus' at Stainborough Castle, as part of the storytelling play hub, and win a Steelosaurus-themed prize.
'The Steelosaurus' is a heartwarming story about the importance of friendship, set in Sheffield. The steel dinosaur wants to find out more about the city where he was made. Luckily for him he meets two kind children who offer to show him the way. Where will they take him? Will he enjoy his day out?
Helen’s book was inspired by living in Sheffield with her family and seeing her children experience the variety of what the city has to offer.
