Are you ready for a fun filled Summer of Play?

We'll have an array of outdoor games on the Play field: somewhere to enjoy an old favourite or have a go at something new. Discover our Natural play space in the wilderness, where you can scramble and climb and keep your balance.

New for this year, discover our musical play space and join nature's band. Up at the magical setting of Stainborough Castle, become a storyteller and weave a tale of knights and dragons. Where will your imagination take you?

For smaller members of the family, there’s the chance to become a mini gardener and get digging in our messy place space in the Union Jack Gardens. In another section of the maze-like gardens, take a break from the noise and the sun with sensory play and quiet games.

Stop by our second-hand bookshop to find stories to read at home this summer and look out for pop-up storytelling sessions in our new reading room.

We will have extra activities on selected days throughout the summer, including archery every Tuesday and the return of our popular teddy zip-line on Thursdays.

Archery Experience. Have a go for just £2. Tickets can be purchased on arrival, every Tuesday. 23, 30 July & 6, 13, 20, 27 August. Please note, spaces will be limited.

Teddy Zip-line. Bring your teddy for a thrilling ride down Stainborough Castle, every Thursday. 25 July & 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 August.
