Open Archives - VE Day 80
Look behind the scenes with our research and archive volunteers. What stories do you have to tell from the WW2 generation?
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
In this 80th anniversary year of VE Day we are interested to find out more about the WW2 history of Wentworth Castle Gardens. Come and meet our dedicated team of volunteers and share your stories with us.
We've heard whispers of a school being evacuated to Wentworth Castle, and perhaps some solidiers stationed here too, but we are still looking for more evidence of this. If you have any wartime at Wentworth Castle Gardens stories or pictures to share please do get in touch.
If you have information to share but can't visit on this date please email us at; wentworthcastlegardens@nationaltrust.org.uk
