In this volunteer-led, behind-the-scenes tour, you will discover work already undertaken to breathe life back into this once busy working area. Find out about the long and varied history of this productive area of the estate and the characters behind its construction.
Get close to conservation work on structures built to protect non-native plants, including heated walls and the partially-restored orangery. For what 21st century purpose could this area be used? Maybe you will have some ideas for us!
This area is not usually open for public view. The area is uneven with no proper paths. Please wear sturdy footwear.
