Now that we are into summer, it’s a great time to prune spring flowering shrubs. Join one of our gardeners for a walk round the collection at Wentworth Castle Gardens to learn about how we prune our rhododendrons and camellias, and to pick up some tips for your own garden.
Wentworth Castle Gardens has national collections of both rhododendron and camellia, so the gardens team have plenty of experience to share which will help you take care of your plants at home.
This free walk & talk will meet at the Visitor Information Shed and head up into the garden, with a focus on shrubbery walk and the wilderness.

- What to bring and wear
Appropriate footwear for walking around the garden. Practical equipment will not be required.
- Accessibility
The walk will be on hard-standing paths so suitable for mobility scooters, wheelchairs and buggies. If you need any extra provision for access, please let us know.
