Join us to look for Devils Toenails, Fairy Coins and Snakestones on the beach. What exactly is a Hag-stone and what magical powers is it supposed to possess?

Find out about the stories behind the folk names of the different marine fossils that can be found at Robin Hood's Bay, before heading out on the beach with our staff to look for some of your own.

(Please note: Sturdy footwear & appropriate outdoor clothing. A Bag to put any finds into. No fossil hammers required or permitted.

Meet upstairs in the Old Coastguard Station, The Dock, Robin Hoods Bay. No parking or car access in the lower village. Parking at Pay-and-display car parks at the top of the village.

The beach is accessed via a steep downhill walk through the village then a cobbled ramp or steps. Uneven surfaces on the beach.)
